Peter McIntire – a short professional bio
I was first employed in 1995 as a management resident at S.D.I. Radiology in
Tampa, FL. This was one of the final steps in earning my Master’s in Health
Service Administration (M.H.S.A.) from Xavier University.
After, I worked for three years with Columbia / HCA in their physician services division. Here I
managed several practices and meet some truly great people which many I still talk and work
with today. Columbia / HCA was a great environment to learn both the clinical and business
side of medical care – they are very good at both.
In late 1999 I started my first internet venture fulltime, TampaHealth.com. Basically the
idea was about 12 months too late. The internet bubble burst in April and I had no viable
product, financing, or income. I just turned 30.
I went back to what I knew best, working with physician practices. I started Health Data
Technology, Inc. and concentrated mostly on revenue analysis, contracting, and eventually
built a strong line of business helping new start-up medical practices (mostly funded by
hospitals, aka income guarantee deals)
On February 23, 2003 (my birthday) I was activated to participate in the liberation
of Iraq with the U.S. Army. I received the call on Sunday, left the following Wednesday
and returned to Tampa 14 months later.
My business suffered while I was gone, but recovered. In 2005 I invested in and managed the
construction of a 10,000 sq/ft medical office in Riverview, FL. To this day this is one of
my proudest professional accomplishments.
In September 2006 I was once again activated and left for Afghanistan.
I was gone 17 months.
My consulting business past when I left for my second combat deployment
and ReferralClick was born when I returned.
